Up to 24 months after last meaningful contact, unless continued membership, legal, security, or governance needs require longer retention.
Used for review, follow-up, member pathway planning, and community operations.
Operational records
As long as needed for governance, accounting, security, audit, and program continuity.
Access should be limited to authorized Foundation operators.
Security and hosting logs
According to hosting and security provider defaults unless a stricter production policy is adopted.
Used to diagnose service issues, protect the site, and investigate abuse.
Retention Principles
- Collect the minimum information needed for a stated public purpose.
- Avoid permanent retention by default.
- Use durable production storage with access controls before public launch.
- Delete or anonymize information when it is no longer needed.
- Document any provider-specific retention commitments before enabling new tools.
